Impressions Of Yoshino

This project bloomed from nostalgia for my time at the University of Washington. In between the four oldest buildings on campus a lawn is fractured by brick pathways and studded by a grid of thirty Yoshino Cherry trees. My most vivid memories are of morning walks beneath the tangled blossoms, heels clicking over wet brick to my next class. For this collection, I wanted to capture the gentle contrast of the architectural geometry against organic forms of the abundant nature that defines not only the University campus, but Seattle itself.
